PDAs for Use with ANT Auditor

The HHT programs for all ANT systems are designed to run on devices using Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 or later operating systems, including Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6 Professional, and Windows CE.NET/CE5.

Please note that Windows Mobile 6 Standard edition does not support touch screen operation and is therefore not suitable for use with ANT products.

PDA/Smartphone devices, such as those from HTC, Glofiish or MWg are suitable for use in normal working environments for ANT Auditor. Prices for these units vary from free as part of an upgrade package to around £450.00 purchased off contract and SIM free. HTC units are normally available under their own brand or re-badged by the major mobile phone suppliers such as Vodafone, Orange, O2 and T-Mobile.

Please note that some rebadged units have a considerable amount of third party software preinstalled on them and this can adversely affect the performance of user installed applications.

To make best use of the features in ANT Auditor, we recommend the use of units with a built in camera and slide out QWERTY keyboard, such as the HTC TyTN II or the Glofiish M800.

We recommend devices with a minimum screen size of 2.8" and a minimum resolution of 320 x 240 pixels (QVGA). Although ANT Auditor will work with devices with square displays, normally having a minimum resolution of 240 x 240 pixels, it is optimised for a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels and the square display units are therefore not recommended as their use will necessitate repeated vertical page scrolling.
