ANT Terminal Server/Citrix comms via ActiveSync
Survey comms has been enhanced to work in terminal server mode. When running in this mode a polling program needs to be running on the client machine. This polling program triggers the local ActiveSync comms to upload and download data created for the TS client.
SURVEYS → version 6.0.66 (VFP)
To set terminal server mode on →

The transfer path needs to be a directory accessible by the client machine. If you have directory mappings on this can be a client drive.
If the system is detected to be running on a terminal server and this mode is on the comms runs in terminal server mode; otherwise it runs in standard mode. The title bar on the comms screen will show the following if running in TS mode.
![]()
The polling program needs to either be resident in this folder or a parameter passed containing the folder path.
When a transfer commences a folder is created in the transfer path based on the workstation name.

Inside this path the same directory format is used i.e. waynepc is equivalent to the user\ant folder.
Polling program:
AntAuditorPolling.exe v6.0.0.0
SURVEYCOMMS.EXE v6.1.0.9
SURVEYCONVERT.DLL v6.1.1.0
The above program needs to be placed in the shared folder (transfer path) and AntAuditorPolling.exe run via the user's workstation login script and not the terminal server login script.
When the program is running on the local workstation the following icon can be seen in the system tray →
