Hand held computers of one sort or another are a very effective method for on-site data collection. There are many different models and types available and the prices vary enormously so it is
important to choose the right one for your application.
The handheld programs for all ANT systems are designed to run on devices using Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 or later operating systems, including Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6 Professional, and Windows CE.NET/CE5.

Semi ruggedized devices with inbuilt barcode or RF scanners are typically used with ANT Inspector and ANT Asset Manager. These units are normally drop tested and IP54 rated for dust and moisture resistance. IP ratings are an international classification of resistance to penetration by dust and moisture. range from around £500.00 upwards. Some manufactures are Unitech, Psion-Teklogix and Motorola/Symbol.
We can also offer ATEX approved handhelds for use in intrinsically safe areas. These are usually drop tested, IP67 rated and available for use in Zone1, Zone 2 and Mines areas. These devices are priced from around £2000.00 and are available from a small number of manufactures including ecom instruments and Motorola/Symbol.
